You’ve just received the most beautiful gift ever, now what? Remove all the flowers and place them in a vase.? Or keep them in the refrigerator? No, no, no.
Fret not, our flower experts @ Avantgarde Blooms came up with some really easy-to-follow steps to keep your fresh blooms as gorgeous as YOU!
This kind of floral arrangement is very different from our signature hand-tied bouquets. We use OASIS foam as a medium to keep the flowers hydrated. So really, you don't have much to do for this one.
1. ADD WATER TO THE BOX/BASKET
You don’t have to remove the flowers from the box/basket; they are pretty that way! All you have to do is add approximately 100ml of clean water once a day. As it is a foam-based arrangement, make sure to pour the water around different spots gently.
2. PLACE IT IN A COOL AREA
Conditions such as direct sunlight, extreme heat, or dust aren’t good for your flowers; they can make them wilt faster. It is best to place your flowers in a shaded area at a cool temperature.
3. MIST THE FLOWERS DAILY
Most cut flowers will benefit from a daily mist of water. Fill a spray bottle with clean tap water and mist your flowers once a day to boost hydration.
- If you see any petals that are brownish, that means they are bruised…but don’t panic! Their outer petals are the ones that receive the most damage. Simply just remove those bruised petals (loose petals too) and the flowers will now look fresher and happier.
